How To Feel More Energised

May 7, 2015

Don’t hit snooze
Hitting the snooze button makes it harder to wake up and ends up affecting you energy levels all day long. A more consistent wake-up time will get you into a routine and help you skip the snooze button and wake up naturally with more energy.

Start hydrating as soon as possible
Drinking water first thing in the morning gives your digestive system a boost and starts energising your whole body. Drinking water helps your body perform at it’s top potential all day. Keeping water at your bedside will help you start drinking as soon as you wake up. For more tips on this check out my blog post ‘How To Make Yourself Drink More Water’.

Choose the right breakfast
Eating a satisfying breakfast offers your body the energy and nutrients it needs to feel great all morning.

Get Fresh Air
Being stuck inside leaves you feeling drained and disconnected. Go outside for some fresh air and take a walk. You’ll come back to whatever you were doing with a fresh perspective and much more energy.

Declutter Your Workspace
When your desk/computer/inbox looks like a war zone, it’s setting you up to feel stressed and wiped out. Take a few minutes every day to clean up and get organised so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming later, A calmer and cleaner work environment keeps you feelings connected and productive.

Eat An Energising Snack
As tempting as a packet of crips sounds, they won’t offer your body the sustainable energy it needs. Swap the unhealthy snacks for more healthy and energising  snacks to stave off unhealthy cravings.

Skip The Nightcap
After a long day, a few glasses of wine or a nice cocktail might seem like the perfect way to unwind, but alcohol can disrupt your natural sleep cycle and leave you feeling exhausted the following morning. If you’re dealing with energy issues, it’s best to stay away from alcohol before bed.

Get To Bed
Quality sleep is one of the best ways to ensure energy the next day. Listen to your body, go to sleep earlier and make sure you’re getting at least seven hours of sleep every night so you wake up feeling refreshed, energised and ready to take on your day.

Hope you enjoy!
